Studio · Process
How a piece is made.
From drawing to patina: five stages, most of them by hand, between the first sketch and the cast.

Wax / Bronze.
Drawing
The figure meets the grid.
Classical studies are cut by a cubic system until the two logics share one body.

Model
Digital, then printed.
Forms are resolved in 3D and printed at scale to test proportion and light.

Wax and casting
Lost wax.
A wax positive is chased by hand and sprued into a tree. The wax burns out; the bronze takes its place.

Patina
Heat and nitrate.
Copper and iron nitrates are applied with heat, layer by layer. No two casts take the colour the same way.

Concrete
Poured, not cast.
Concrete pieces are poured against printed negatives; sand and aggregate change how heavy a surface reads.
